Why do I have the CATIA Composer icon when I use SolidWorks Composer?

My .smg files have the CATIA Composer icon on them even though I'm using SolidWorks Composer?

The .smgXml .smgProj .smgGeom files have the correct icon.

Hello, if they open with Catia instead of Solidworks just have to choose the program and check the box at the bottom. Otherwise there's not really a  problem, is there?

Hello:

3Dvia Composer or Solidworks Composer is the same software, the same Dassault Système editor.

The same is true for the Player.

When installing SolidWorks it installs the Player under:

C:\Program Files\SOLIDWORKS Corp\SOLIDWORKS Composer Player\Bin\composerplayer.exe

But the properties of this exe are:

 

Hence the name CATIA Composer Player.

After no PB it's the same thing.

The problem is getting used to the icon that has changed...

But otherwise no more problem than that

Normally, if the files are associated with Solidworks, they should have the Solidworks icon.

Hello.

I thought you were talking about the Player icon.

As @.PL say, normally it's the Solidworks icon.

Have you tried to redo the default association on the player?

First you associate with IE for example, the icon should change then you open again with / choose the default program. on the player.

This problem is not blocking so I close my request despite the fact that I did not manage to solve it, even with your answers!
