I have a display bug under eDrawing for several of my colleagues.
When they open a SolidWorks file by right-clicking the file, open with, eDrawing, the bottom toolbar does not appear in eDrawing. They therefore do not have access to the " Explode", " Measure", " Configurations ", " Components " tools, etc.
Surprisingly, if they first open eDrawing through the start menu, and they go to look for the same file through file / open, it doesn't crash, the toolbar is displayed correctly...
Hello we use the SP05 (31.5.0033) and no problem, I just did several tests on 2 different workstations with EASM and SW ASM file with or without SW license. If it's a bug in the SP03, the best thing to do is to upgrade it.
For our workstations, not equipped with Solidworks (we are still in 2022), we have " forced " the Edrawing updates in 2023 sp5 version ... the 2022 being too slow to open a 3D and the 2023 sp01-02-03 too " bugges "... Note: you have to make the Solidworks Vs Edrawing balance according to the use of the latter. If Edrawing is only used as a visualization, any version equal to or better than that of Solidworks can be installed. If Edrawing is also used to annotate 3D, you will have to think about balancing the versions.
Hello all, we are also seeing this same exact issue in SW23 SP5, and Sw24 SP5. I am about to try SW25 so at least i can log it as a bug with support. the edrawings seem to be all .analysis from SW simulation. we have not seen the issue with normal easm or eprt or opening a native sldprt to view.
The file was generated from Sw23 and opened in Edrawings 23. as pointed out previously, it seems to work ok if you preopen Edrawings and goto file>open>browse or drag and drop the file to the open edrawings windows. Its seems only a bug from double click open or ‹ open with ›. i will report back with any new findings.
i will also point out, its not ALL files - some work ok.
