Problem analysis Cutting optimization

Hello

On CuttingOptimization, I click on " import a part or assembly " then I add the active document or that I go to look for a document in my files, no problems so far. But as soon as I start the analysis of the selected elements, it starts, but the window closes after 14% loading, as if CuttingOptimization crashed, everything closes.

Do you have a solution to this problem? Do we need to have exactly the same properties in the properties of the welded parts as CO? Is the problem with my Excel with the list of my profiles?

Do I need to add the properties width, height etc?

Kind regards.

Have you tried with another piece?
Take 1 as simple as possible (like a simple rectangular frame, even if it means drawing it quickly) and see if it works or not to see if the problem comes from your part or the software (misconfigured or other reason)
I use it sometimes and it works with us.

Hello @sbadenis,

I tried with a simple square tube but same result, everything closes. The only way that works is when I choose a list of welded parts in a drawing, but I'm not interested in that because there are no cutting angles.

The problem must be with the data, either directly from the Excel file with the welded parts list or from the properties in the welded parts list. However, the latter seem correct to me.

Hello @fmarchand,

Here's the part file I tried with, a simple square tube.

Here is the profile base file to convert to CSV format:

Hello

I tried to import your file without any problem on my side.

Can you make a video to show me the manipulation you do?

Kind regards

Hello

I think you have an installation problem.
I also see that you're not in the latest version.

Can you uninstall myCADtools and reinstall the latest version?

Kind regards

I just did the update, without uninstalling Mycadtools, so I have the 2024 version but still the same result.
