I can access the drilling assistant function to create a part, but recently I've been facing this problem:
I've always dodged it by doing it in a different way, but now I'm forced to face it, I have no choice.
Do you have a solution to this?

Haven't you installed a new, newer version of Sw lately?
It's as if you had updated solidworks, but without having updated the toolbox (not checked during the installation?)
A repair or reinstallation will probably be required to check the toolbox installation.

I think " dodging " the piercing assistant is not a good idea (it's extremely convenient).
Basically, you would have to update the ToolBox set (The Hole Wizard) is one of them.
=> Try with a repair of the Solidworks installation.
