Problem with the "bend" function in sheet metal

Hello
I created a sheet metal part with sheet metal base functions.
I unfold the sheet metal in order to make flat cuts with the " unfold" function
when I fold the sheet metal with the " bend " function, Solidworks gives me the following error message: " This part contains features that cannot be unfolded "
However, I already have material removals or fractionations in my room.
It's when I want to add more that it gets stuck.
Do you have any idea?
Kind regards

Thierry

And here it is. :+1:

Hello

Out of curiosity, did you tick the box enlevèv. of normal material in the material removal function?

The problem comes from your crushed base sheet 1 function, you have checked the box to override the default settings. By unchecking it it works

Hello
In fact, it is apparently the value of the thickness in the base function (Folded Base Plate) that is the problem.
1.0e-4 mm, or 0.1 micrometers, is really very thin for the sheet metal of a seat. I prefer to stand ...
SolidWorks also rejects 1.0e-3 mm, but accepts 1.0e-2 or higher.

Note that the " Transition Fold" sheet metal base function allows a faster and simpler definition of the geometry...

Yes, indeed there was a problem in the thickness that I hadn't seen.
Thank you also for the transition folds, I had never used this function.
Thanks again :+1:

Hello @Juliette_PEGUET

Very happy to welcome you on the forum, I hope you will also help us solve some problems.

Can you describe in your profile what you do within Visiativ because the market sectors are not very meaningful (is it pure sales, technical support before sales or after sales, etc... etc... )

Kind regards
