Problem with configurations

Hello

I had never used the configurations and as it is a theme that comes back on the forum, I went for it.

1° ) I created a room with different configurations (a relief shape that is cut into five parts) the according to the config I display one of the 5.
So far so good, I display as I want with the "Show configuration" function.

2°) On the other hand, I have an erroneous configuration and I would like to delete it. But PB when I select it and right-click and click on delete I get a message that tells me I can't.

All these configs are inside one and the same room.

Question how to delete one of the Six configs.

shows us a screenshot of the message, and the graphical area of the configs

Hello

You have to double-click on another one, and then you can delete it.

In short, you can't delete a configuration:

  1. When it is active
  2. When used in an open document

Indeed  you can't delete a configuration  that is used. Either you have an assembly or plan  open on your workstation or if you are on a network used by another  who uses this configuration. Or even it happened to me an assembly that I closed but which is still loaded in buffer, so closed sw open sw open the part and delete the configuration. In addition , if you are in a network, do this operation on the workstations that have used this part or ASM.

May the force be with you

Thank you to all three for your answers and suggestions!

I'll go through them all and I'll get back to you :-)

Hello

First of all, thank you because I managed to do pretty much what I wanted.

I managed to remove the configs that didn't follow your suggestions. (I'm in single-seat) following @Remrem and @Obi WAN

This piece is a logo that is however cut into 7 parts. Each of these parts is constrained on another part which is a subset.

So I created a config for each game from Cut1 to Cut 5. In the subset I activate or deactivate as I want this or that Cut.

I fought for a long time (it's by swearing that you become strong  in swearing) to get into the logic of configs, especially when you go from the individual part to the subassembly.
I will come back to this a little later with you because it is interesting provided you master it. I lost a lot of time in this learning but it should pay off afterwards it's like everything: because often we think that training is expensive but you just have to try ignorance  :-)
