I'm having problems creating library functions, when dragging the desired functions from the creation sabs to the folder in the design library, nothing happens, and solidworks crashes. I have often had this kind of function and I have never had a problem with this method, has anyone encountered this kind of problem?
Thank you

Hello
What exactly do you want to do?
Do you want to create Lib feat part, and then recall them on other pieces?
Yes, exactly, I've used this method a lot, it's always worked well so far.
I did the test on 3 different stations (sw2014) and it doesn't work anymore.

give your procedure which may allow you to understand the why and how
Is your library the one that is well configured and recognized for your version of SW
is it the SW library or personal library
Design libraries are shared through the network
or personal via your workstation
If common via the network it may be that the function is not taken into account via the common library

This is the procedure I use, and it doesn't work whether the library is local or network, I tested the 2.

given your answer where it's difficult to read anything
where is your function I only see 2 sketches and no extrusion or material removal function

Personally, I've never done it like that^^
- Drawing a volume to have a support
- Create the function
- Click on the sketch of the feature in the Creation Tree to highlight it (left pane)
- Make "file/save as" select the lib feat part format
- Save to the folder of your choice by selecting the references
- Add the folder to the design library if you haven't already done so (right pane)
-There you go
A short tutorial on shape tools:

The recording part is the same as for a classic function

@gt22: The procedure he indicated is the SolidWorks help page:

OK thank you @ PL I know I saw and recognized it ;-)
but the problem is where is the function
since there is no function and simply sketches
How do I create a library feature?
A library function is basically in my humble opinion already a function as it is but not a simple sketch
now OK the sketch of this function is configurable and modifiable at will but there is the missing function
so there is no function so no active library line for a function
