Dimension display issue in solidworks 2021

Hello

overnight I lost the display of dimensions in sketch mode(link)

and even in the context menus I have no rating (link)

I did a reinstallation and then a reinstallation but nothing helps.

I deleted the line in the registry that corresponds to the settings for a default reset but still the same.

does anyone have a solution or experienced the same thing

Or is it a DLL that would not be compliant that is used for writing.

Thank you for reading me.

Syrius.

Hello @cil dede_1

I didn't understand why you write  (link)

Can:

- send an image of the creation tree in a sketch situation and the same in volume
- Tell us if you have the same problem on all files or just a sketch.
- If you do a MEP of a room, do the dimensions appear or not?

Kind regards

PS: generally speaking, a reinstallation is not very useful. We are no longer in the era of DOS 3.2, when snorkeling and fins to dive into the BDR is not scary   ;-))

Hello

because just click on link to get the photo

on all the files it's the same and even in the MEP nothing is displayed if just the arrows appear.

Hello

[ HS On]
It is not advisable to use external servers for the images because after a few days you can no longer access them in general.
This is not good for the sustainability of the information on forum discussions. You have in this forum two tools "insertion of images" in the message or in the attachment. Please use the internal features of the forum.
THANK YOU

[HS Off]

For your problem ;-)

I suggest you check the font size.

I manage to reproduce something analogous to your problem

Sorry for hosting the images on a server because I tried but the images were not beautiful that's why I put on a server.

and no it doesn't work by changing the font on my image on the left I'm at 40 and on the right at 12

Thank you for your patience

You have to wait until after Easter Monday for everything that is wrong ;-)

by what years?

for this problem I would lean more towards a DLL problem

Hello@cil dede_1

A DLL why not, but you still need to know which one (you have as much chance of finding it as the LOTO combination)
Between us I don't agree with you on this point because you did a complete reinstall. :-)
On the other hand! Wouldn't you have left the old version of SW on the same machine?
It seems to me that  @stefbeno (whom I salute by the way) has several versions on his machine but there are precautions to be taken to make the versions watertight between them.

Kind regards

Hello

Have you tried unchecking "Document Font" and pointing to a different font?

Or, in the document options, is the font set correct?

Kind regards

Hello to both of you,

here is my journey of a 4-day weekend.

I come back to my words, it must not come from a DLL.

Having sweated in front of my pc doing a multitude of tests I ended up formatting my HDD and doing a clean reinstallation.

And I reinstall solidworks and the surprise it still doesn't work, the problem persists.

I decide to install it on another pc (which is not mine) and there you won't believe me, it works fine.

So annoyed, I re-install my PC by doing it differently (just windows10 and up-to-date drivers in case a software or other is in conflict) well it still doesn't work.

This phenomenon is to no longer understand anything, I no longer have hair to pull on it.

The mysteries of computing!!!

Hello@cil dede_1

It's a remake of "for a handful of dollars" except that here it's your hair that pays the price (I sympathize)

Can you tell us a little about the recalcitrant machine STP (full description)

Kind regards

Hello ZOZO,

Well here I have continued my investigations, I have my tests by changing graphics card and changing HDD by reinstalling with an old version of Windows 10 but the problem remains the same (I don't understand anything)

The only thing I didn't change the motherboard, CPU, memory and the man.

Also I wanted to add as a problem on solidworks, in addition to the fact that it doesn't show me the dimensions in the sketch and in the context menus, I also have the 3D view that is not displayed when I extrude my project.

I should have been able to make a video!!

So reformatting I put back my old version of SW from 2016 and everything works (I'm tired of saying all my weekends)

Tell me if the attached file is enough.

It's not a problem of an uncertified graphics card

Hello
I had the same problem and I disabled the option
from the tools>options>Performance>enhanced graphics performance menu (at the very bottom of the screen)
Have a nice day
