Thread display problem on "vertical" section views

Hello

The thread of my screw does not appear (or partially) when I make a vertical cut.
The problem only appears on vertical cuts, when I make oblique, horizontal cuts, there is no problem.

Here is a drawing that illustrates the problem. (the screw is very small compared to the tapping, it's just for the example)

I put here a zipped pack and go with the parts, the screw, and the drawing.
Pb filetage.zip (1.5 MB)

Other information:

  • SW Premium 2022 SP5.0
  • The screw is excluded from the " cutting extent"
  • The thread appears well in rough quality, but I need it in high quality.
  • I imported the " model objects" / " thread representation" on all the views.
  • In the " Document Property - Skinning " box, the " thread representation" box is checked, as well as the " show annotations " and " High quality " box

I can't really understand where the problem comes from, if it's my configuration, my screw or my drawing that doesn't work. Or if it's just a sldw bug?

Thank you in advance for your help.
Raphael

Probably a bug, if I open your MEP the defect is present.
I remove the view and redo the cut and no more worries:

Interesting indeed, we tried on 4 PCs and it was always the same thing.
Which version of solidworks are you on?
I'm going to look at the part models, the drawing models, the standard for dressing up the drawings.
Thanks for trying, I would give feedback if I find something.

Small oversight I am under sw2023.

I just saw, the screw is not excluded from the cut in your screenshot. Indeed it also works for us in this case, but the representation is not good as a result.
Normally, in drawings, we don't cut the screws.
You have to right-click on the cut, property, extent of the cut, and select the parts not to be cut by clicking directly on them.

Hello

I confirm the bug in the display of the high-quality thread representation with SW2022_SP5 and SW2024_SP2.

Note: To automatically exclude fasteners from a cut, create the IsFastener custom property in the screw and set the text value to 1 (or " Yes or No " value to Yes)

Thank you for the feedback and for the tip.
I'm going to do a pass on my screw library again to declare them as screws.

Hello and welcome Raphael_ESCOUT,
Just to add more, also check in the configurations if the thread lengths correspond to the selected screws. All in pictures:

Hello A.R
Sorry for my late reply
All my threads are set to " Until the next ", so normally there is no problem with thread length.
I tried to put them in " One-Eyed ", it seems to work better on simple assemblies like the one I put as an example, but on heavier assemblies, it's the same thing (knowing that I have disabled all complex assembly parameters)
Thank you for your help

And I reiterate that the thread appears in draft quality, it is only in high quality that it disappears, as if it were masked by something.
