Solidworks Dual Screen Display Problem

Hello

I am currently working with a dual screen. When I switch Solidworks to my secondary screen, a problem occurs when I click (in almost all possible circumstances). The attached image shows the problem when I click on the bottom of the window. The screen seems to duplicate itself inside the software. I don't have this problem when I'm working on my computer screen.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Have a nice day!

Hi

I'll follow the future answers because I have the same problem on my station.

Do you have 2 screens of the same or different sizes?

Hello Centor,

My screens are different sizes. I have on one side a 13" screen (the one of my pc) and on the other a 32" screen.

So we don't have the same problem

I wonder if it's not due to the fact that our screens 1 and 2 have a different size

I'll follow the future answer;)

Hello

Check if your graphics card driver is certified by SolidWorks: https://www.solidworks.com/sw/support/videocardtesting.html

Personally, I have two different screens and I don't have your problem. It happens every time you change SW screens?

Hello

I don't think it's the screen size that matters. I have 3 screens not one of the same size and I have no problem.

@remrem is right, you have to start by checking the graphics  card drivers via solidworks rx

may the force be with you.

Indeed, my graphics card does not seem to be managed by Solidworks despite a relatively recent PC model. What can I do about this problem?

Testing with Solidworks RX.

or the link of @remrem

may the force be with you.

Hello

What is the model of your graphics card?

Hello

I have the same problem when I connect on screens of different sizes.

The solution I found is to change the font size of the screen on which the problem appears in the display settings.

I don't really know why but at home it works

depending on the graphics card

Among other things, there is the possibility of managing the screen display

NVIDIA Control Panel

Adjust the size  and position of the desk

It is necessary to also manage the screen resolution settings

and know your graphics card how many screen connections it has the screens must have the same resolution

tested on a mobile CG K 3000 M 17 inch placed on a docking station
+23-inch and 24-inch screen

and everything goes well

Hello

Thanks to Ludo.mai, I use solidworks on a window partition of a macbook pro 2018 and when I was plugging in my second 27-inch screen to work on solidworks there was this problem that you describe.

The solution is to go to the window settings, go to the system category then display, put yourself in screen n°2 then change the size of the text ect until on the second screen there is no longer this problem. For me I had to go up to 200% for it to work

Have a nice day.
