Texture and Color Display Problem

Hello
I have a display problem, SolidWorks (2023) displays everything in white (without color) sometimes without borders sometimes they are displayed very lightly.
This problem manifests itself when:
I open an earlier version (Part / Assembly)
I open a Part / Sub-Assembly of an Assembly (both open together).
I open a Room of a Drawing (both open together).
I have a pretty good configuration:
AMD Ryzen 5 3600XT
RTX 2070 Super
16 GB RAM

Thank you

Hello @Farouk

I'm going to allow myself to put forward a slightly silly idea.

You may need to back up your files from the previous versions to the 2023 version before using them.

There is full backward compatibility so it has to work.
On the other hand, no backward compatibility, which means that if you still have the 2022 version, you cannot read a 2023 file. (but you know that, don't you).

If you have the 2023 version, it means that you are in maintenance and therefore if the problem persists, it is up to the hot line to solve the PB.

For the configuration my colleagues will give you a much better opinion than me :grinning:

Kind regards

Hi @Zozo_mp
Thank you for your answer
I don't think it will work because when I open parts / assemblies made on SolidWorks 2022 I always have the same problem.
I forgot to mention that when I close Solid and open the part/assembly or any other part, the first one shows up perfectly and the second one bugs.
Even if I change the background of SolidWorks to gray or something else I have the same problem

Launch Solidworks Rx and check the compatibility of your graphics card driver with your version of solidworks in the Diagnostics tab.
If necessary, correct the pilot.

Hello;

It smells like an unsupported graphics card.
Check it out here:https://www.solidworks.com/support/hardware-certification/
(I couldn't find them...)
See if there is a patch at random.
but Solidworks 2023 with 16GB ... It's not off to a good start.

Personal note: never install versions older than XXXX sp4... And check the compatibility of your equipment before any major version change.

Note to Solidworks: Please certify more graphics cards and for a period of more than 6 months to avoid user dissatisfaction...

Kind regards.

For my part I think that sw has #&*#&, lately on sw 22, I have them a lot of graphic bugs:confused:, for colors it disappears all the time especially after doing a simulation study, I define a color in the assembly context and I find it in the part document: sweat_smile:, the good news is that with the same materials I had several times different appearances ... I really regret the 2018 :pensive:
Otherwise there is an option in the performance (improved graphics performance) try to disable it it may help,

+1 for disabling Solidworks graphics performance...
But it's still a shame to have to disable them to have a correct display...
Bravo Solidworks. :upside_down_face: we walk on our heads...

Hello again

I installed an old version of the graphics card driver. I think the problem is not that of SolidWorks even if my card is not supported, but it is a problem of NVIDIA, its drivers are a problem for several users on different software (this problem was that of AMD GPUs, and the latter has clearly improved it and now NVIDIA is regressing)
Thank you for your help.
I didn't know that you had to uncheck the "improved graphics performance" option
