Compatibility issue between Solidworks and Windows 10

Hello

I had no support when I was under W.8 but since I switched (not at Sosh ^^) to W 10, I can no longer reinstall Solidworks 2015 SP0 because they tell me that I am missing a Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.

Problems: Even downloaded, it does not work because this Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 does not seem to be compatible. Any idea? Do I have to wait until 2015 is compatible with the SP1 version? Or simply, wait until 2016?

Thank you:)

Hello

For some it works:

Are you sure you can't install the framework by choosing compatibility settings?

Otherwise, get closer to the people who have it and for whom it works.

I did it without any problem on my personal pc.

No problems after installing FrameWork...

I tried to install it but nothing helps. Then I must not use the right method!

For installation, see this link:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vPtw66oj5EQ

Right-click on the downloaded file, open as administrator, and install.

Still doesn't work?

At the same time windaube 10.. Not great, is it?

CAREFUL!

WINDOWS 10 IS NOT SUPPORTED by SOLIDWORKS 2015 SP0!

Windows 10 was released after SP4, so it is normal that this system is not supported in the SP0->SP4 versions.

It will therefore be necessary to wait for the SP5 of SOLIDWORKS 2015 to be able to install it (tested and validated).

It's not just a matter of "warranty", the changes in Windows don't allow SW 2015 to work properly (impossible to save models, for example).

It is therefore necessary to switch to SP5 to be able to use SOLIDWORKS 2015 with Windows 10. This service pack is currently in the Early Visibility testing period before a global availability in the coming weeks.

All you have to do is register for the "early visibility" program on the SW customer portal to be able to install it before the official release of this service pack.

@Bart:

Have you tried?

I've been using it since prerealease and I find it stable and nicer to use than W8.1.

@cdemuynck:

It's possible! I'm running in 2014 SP2 on W10.

Here is the proof in pictures.

Not recommended for professional use.

Yes I'm on SP0. anyone know when the SP1 will be released? because I just installed Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 (Full package) and nothing more :/

I'm on windows 7. I'm absolutely not a fan of the 8 and even less of the 10.

I'm a purist..... What do you want^^

I thought the sw2015 SP0 version had a bug and it was not recommended to install it. (we hadn't received the DVDs because of this)

sw is on the SP4 version.

Well for the moment nothing at all works. I had to uninstall everything. So I have to wait for an update or an accounting with W10 ... It's not won :/

I have a presentation in Paris on Thursday 22nd with Avaneo and AS 3D

I put the links for those who are interested:)

Enjoy it's free;)

I will find out on the spot.

It's okay, everything works. Thank you :-)

Indeed framework 3.5 is necessary for older versions of SW

Contrary to what visiativ announces, you can run SW2010 under W10 by first installing framework 3.5 and iec in 32 or 64 bits version (for SW)

When you have a PC that is no longer in its infancy, the current versions of SW require a lot of computing power and ...

The SW2010 solution is very reasonable in this case
