Problem of copying and pasting on autocad

Hello

I work with architectural plans, the different views of the building are on different plans, when I do "copy paste" to bring them back to my plan, it doesn't work with the following error message: "incorrect duplicate definition of the Genaxeh block ignored"

There is no spelling mistake, I copy the text as it appears at the bottom of the dialog window.

Thank you if anyone has the solution to correct this problem.

Hello

On this post the person gives a solution:

Well sorry everything is in English.

Hello

He also talks about it here:

Tomalam, your solution to transform the file to copy and paste into DXF and then paste it into a block works, but it lacks lines, dimensions in the paste block.

It only works half but the important contours remain and to set up my equipment it does it.

Thank you Tomalam but if you have or someone has a better solution I'm still taker.

Hello

Have you checked the problem with blocks (arrow arrows for hill styles, line types, renaming, etc.)?

Otherwise, depending on what you have to do, there is the solution of external references (XRef). Personally, whenever I work with third-party plans, I use them. The advantage is that the different planes remain independent of each other, whether they have different blocks or styles with the same name.

A+

yes ericR working with the xref there are no more problems, but I just wanted to do a simple copy and paste.

Thank you anyway.

What if you take a screenshot and incorporate it into your new plan? Provided that you don't need to rework the copy
