Hello,
When I try to dimension the distance between the feet of my equipment I select two midpoints of the flat shoes of my feet, the dimension is displayed but offset by my two selected points.

I don't understand why.
thank you in advance

Hello,
From memory, it was doing it to me on a configuration problem
Hello Rems51,
This has already done it to me, so how do I do it:
1 - I save and close my MEP, see also Solidworks and I re-open everything, and it works.
2 - When it's no longer possible, I sketch two points where I want to put my rating, but it's not very catholic. And I use these points for my rating (But for just an MEP it does...).
I hope this will help you.

Thank you @A_R but even by closing and reopening it doesn't change anything by account I realize that the phenomenon is identical on all points and midpoints.
Well I don't have any better, OL.
Good luck.

uh!! Excuse me, set your display to see the features, there it works.
Try it and tell me, @+.

or that,

No in your view display, you have 4 display possibilities, one in rendering, another in rendering with visible edges, one with simply with the visible edges, in hidden mode, then all the lines.
Look at it on the right of your screen by clicking on your view...
Sorry my pc is being processed I can't take screenshots for you ...
No, it's the same.
Oh ??? well no better ... @+.
AR.
Well otherwise,
You add your dimension directly in the 3D and you insert it by " model object", it should do it.
Keep me informed, @+.

Hello
If you have designed beams with the mechanically welded function, you must have a sketch that can be shown in your drawing.
Side the sketches using a sketch filter.
On the same principles if you have tubes on the axis of the model (not the ones you create in MEP). The 2D is crushed 3D, the bugs are many in the selection, the filters relieve the software. Even if I don't think that's the problem.
Another option is to insert another plan in your file and copy all the views, I had a similar case impossible to make a view, but after this manipulation it works
Have you altered the cropping or local cut view, interrupted view? Often with SW in the case of heavy assembly (for the PC) altered the views and disturbed the display
Try to open your plan in skin mode
My solutions
Hello FRED78,
Yes indeed, there is also the FRED78 solution.

Hello,
Thank you all for your feedback. @FRED78 no, my frame has been converted into bodies and surfaces, so no sketch. And the problem is indeed on a cross-sectional view. The plan is indeed in wrapping mode. As for " insert another plan in your file and copy all the views ", do you mean added a sheet, a basemap?
Hello rems51,
I see that you have gone from body to surface, I think the problem comes from there, we can't rate surfaces, unless I'm mistaken...
To be continued, @+.

If the midpoint is messed up, create the centerline from the 2 continuous lines and then dimension the centerline.
Annotation, creation of construction line, then selection of the 2 strong lines, the centerline is created in the middle and then it is dimensioned.

Hello sbadenis,
Exactly, I completely agree with this solution.

Hello @Rems51
Yes, that's right, adding a sheet, creating a file with two plans, dragging the views from one page to another and seeing if it works.
As @A_R the surfaces point out, it's the m... in the drawings.
The solution of @sbadenis is a solution that I practice in this case, apply an axis of the system type between two lines and side the axes.
When exporting from another software you can generate bodies or surfaces. Also when importing selected in both cases bodies. This will make your life easier on drawings, and especially sections.
In some cases, the export or import software creates surfaces (often useless or redundant) to remove them. These surfaces are often the envelope of an existing volume, and generate errors in the sections or in your case a selection problem.
A selection filter and " another selection" allows you to choose the solid or surface line you are interested in.
It has been said the import of 3D dimensions previously is a very good solution, the plan is the reflection of the 3D, the import is always more efficient and you will be able to dimension the temporary axes directly from the 3D
Good luck the surfaces are... in the plans
Hello everyone,
Thank you all and @FRED78 your solution " add a sheet and copy paste the views " works even if I don't understand why.
Have a good day everyone
