Cropping a section view problem

Hello

I have a problem in the drawing of a large assembly. I inserted my front view, made a cut (full, not partial) with depth. Subsequently, cropping of the cross-sectional view.

After the complete dimensioning of the MP, CTRL+Q and CTRL+S, the trimming disappears and it is impossible for me to edit the trimming profile, nor to redo a trimming. Still, the crop function is available, and when I create a profile and click crop, solidworks tells me, "Sketch a closed sketch profile in the drawing view to create a crop view."

This is the fourth time this problem has occurred on different projects, and I haven't found any solutions (I had to redo the entire drawing by redoing a cross-section).

Do you have an idea?

I'm in Solidworks Professional 2015 x64 SP5.0. I would like to point out that on another Solidworks (2015 standard), I have never encountered this problem.

Thank you for your invaluable help.

Julian

Hello

Maybe you should update your Solidworks version, check the SP version and see if there is a more recent one.

Hello

When you say that on another solidworks 2015 you don't have this problem, what update to this post? a version prior to SP5.0? If so, you have to reinstall solidworks without the updates if it really bothers you.

Hello, also check if any updates to your graphics cards have been made! Maybe Solid has nothing to do with it!? :)

Kind regards

Hello

Have you ever tried to do a Solidworks repair???

Hi all

We installed the last service pack available in 2015 (5.0). On the other station, solidworks is also in 5.0. The graphics card drivers are up to date.

I have not tried to do a repair of Solidworks. I'll try this idea quickly and will keep you posted.

Thank you and have a good day
