Random dynamic highlighting problem

Hello!

I'm having a dynamic highlighting issue with Solidworks. My configuration is as follows: Solidworks 2010 X64 SP0, Windows 11, Intel UHD 620 graphics card.

I use an old version of SW, which is powerful enough in my case, for simplicity in order to have the same version on all the computers on the network, including some under Windows 7. Under Windows 7, NVidia graphics card, no problem.

The dynamic highlight doesn't work well: when I hover the mouse over the part, the first hovered element is highlighted, and then no more highlights appear. When I zoom in or out with the wheel, the element under the mouse is highlighted, and then when I move the cursor the highlight disappears again.

Same thing when I hover over the function tree, the dynamic highlight sometimes appears on a function, randomly, but always rarely.
Same thing when I'm in sketch editing mode, some elements appear highlighted on hover, again randomly.

In " View/Selection ", the options " Dynamic Highlighting" and " Highlight all edges of selected functions" are checked, as well as in " FeatureManager " the option " Dynamic Highlighting".

On the other hand, when I activate the " Emulate OpenGL functions" mode in " Performance ", the dynamic highlighting works perfectly, but the program becomes extremely slow!

I have browsed a large number of forums and posts in order to solve this problem, but no solution as it stands. I changed the Windows graphics settings to "High Performance " in SolidWorks , I made the registry key changes that allowed me to have access to the RealView feature, but that's it.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions!

Hello and welcome Paul_Dunlop,
For the little I know about computers, with a SW2010 under windows 11, it will never work as my boss says ...
We have the SW 2022 SP4 version, which doesn't work under W11, we're all in the process of migrating to W11 or maybe even with the SW2024 version...
That's unless I'm mistaken, good luck ... @+.
AR.

Hello A_R, thank you for this information. I've come to think that it's an incompatibility between SW and the graphics driver.
There is such a difference in performance with and without OpenGL mode that I don't plan to enable it. Too bad, this feature is very comfortable. Everything else works, that's all that's missing!
Thank you in any case for your answer, and good luck on your side too!
