Tangiance problem between a spring via helix/spiral and a spline

Hello everyone

I created a spring via the propeller/spiral control which went well.

I want to extend this spring with straight/curved parts at its ends.

If I manage to connect the 2 entities by joining their endpoints, it is impossible to apply a tangency relationship between them. The "add relationships" dialog box doesn't offer me anything, unlike the one seen in a youtube video. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTxNEBN_6-0&ab_channel=LearnwithMouad   minute 1.59)

Would the problem come from the versions, (mine is the 2012 and I don't know the one of the video) or a problem of settings to be fixed somewhere?

Thank you for your help

Hello

A workaround would be to convert the helix into the 3D sketch via the convert tool. Adding the constraint between the spline generated in the 3D sketch and your lines should work (be careful, it seems that converting the helix to a spline in the 3D sketch does not generate a 100% perfect curve).

Hello @p.chailloux

Can you post your attachment because what you want to do is a great classic since the 2010 version at least.

Most of the time, the problems come from the fact that all the elements are not built from successive planes that are coherent with each other.

With your piece, we will be able to tell you more about the subject.

Kind regards
