I have TopSolid V6, but I have a big problem. When I regenerate a shot that is complex or has several pieces. My regeneration can take up to 10min.
I think I have a problem with my options because with an intel i7, 8GB of ram and a quadro fx1800 graphics card it should run very well and without slowness.
Can someone help me with the options? Or not? Does he have a solution?
Having worked on Topsolid, it's a disaster at this level.
I don't have a "miracle" solution but never designing a 3d while your 2D is open can be a good start.
Then, I don't have the game in front of me, but there is an option to avoid the immediate regeneration of the plans. This allows it to have a single regen when you ask for it, and to reduce this lonnnnnnnnng regeneration time quite a bit.
I've been working on Topsolid V6 for a few years and I validate the previous answers you've had.
To prevent the automatic updating of views, you must, from a 2D document, go to "Tools/
Projection Options/Settings" and unchecking the "Automatic update of views" box, this effectively avoids a significant loss of time when you modify the 3D with the 2D open, you then do the update manually by starting by regenerating the main view and the auxiliary views afterwards or more simply by using the "Regenerate" command located in the "Working Toolbar".
I work like this, it allows you to visualize and validate your changes in the 2D.
Namely, the options menu located in "Tools" modifies all your future 2D while the "File/Properties" menu only acts on the file concerned and also has an "Automatic update of views" function, so you should also check.
