Hello
I'm having a big problem with SW.
My CPU has spikes at 100% often which slows down the software a lot. This only happens with SW.
My configuration:
W7 64b
CPU: i7 4790 (3.6 Ghz)
RAM: 32 GB
Graph card: Quadro K4200
Disque SSD.
SW: SolidWorks 2016 SP5 64
If any of you have ever had this problem? it annoys us so much that we are considering changing 3D software
Hello
I think the problem comes from windows 7.
But to be confirmed by others.

and you have another log running at the same time
which consumes so much proc
See these links
https://forum.malekal.com/viewtopic.php?t=43589
https://www.it-connect.fr/gerer-la-charge-cpu-sous-windows/
it is true that a xeon would have been perhaps + wise + cache and memory ecc...
interesting problem
it is true that the comparison was tested here between an I7 and a Xeon
and the Xeon has gained in the possibility of operating SW ;-)

it would be necessary in the context where the CPU is at 100%
look in windows at the "Task Manager" sorted by "% CPU"
and see who is (are) the culprit(s)!!
"May the osbcur side be with you... "

I don't have any process that is blocking (not responding or red line)
I wait 5 or 6 seconds and I get back on track!
yes but when the total is at 100%
Who are the processes in mind?? with the highest %

so SW is 3° so it eats about - 33%
can you put the percentage image of the proc
Thank you
You have here a link for the consumption of the proc

Hello
I see that your anti-virus is in second place and that you wait 5 to 6 s to have access to SW, have you set your anti-virus so that it does not scan files with solidworks extension (sldprt, sldasm and slddrw)?
If you do you work in multi-user the link http://www.lynkoa.com/forum/import-export-formats-neutres/ralentissement-solidworksserveur-inexpliqu%C3%A9 may also be of interest to you.
Kind regards

d.roger was surely right, the VA is surely responsible.

For the kernel I don't know how to do it,
For Bitdefender I'll look into it!

So after several slowness, it's the NT kernel that takes 100%!
So SW goes into red...

So after several manipulations and several trials,
The NT Kernel & Sytem process only goes up to 100% if SW is open.
But in the task manager, which process uses the most power?
Is SW update download in the background enabled? It is possible that SW will initiate another process. Does the proc go up to 100% as soon as SW is launched or only after a model is loaded?

you have to put the capture in PC, there it is unreadable.
