Automatic Material Hatching Problem

Hello

I have a problem when making an assembly cross-sectional view. We work a lot with assemblies and as far as possible we represent these welds in 3D/2D.

To do this I created a material: "Welding" with the hatching property: "Plain". The welds are materialized in 3D by a part internal to the assembly (so as not to be encumbered by weld1, weld2,...) with the material as the material: "Weld".

Our welded assemblies being almost all in 316L, when making the cutting view we let the hatching be done automatically (in order to have the automatic angle shifts without having to modify the material of each part). For the 316L parts everything is fine, but as for the representation of the welds we are forced to go and uncheck: "Hatching of the material" so that the weld is displayed all in black on all the view... I tried a little bit of everything without result.

It is impossible to have this solid color (defined in the material).

Do you have a solution for me?

Hello

This is a known bug listed on the SolidWorks website:

"The solution is to deselect "Material hatching" in the "Hachurer / Fill" section of the property manager.

 SPR #:476546
 Status:Open
 Fixed in:none none
 Area:Drawings
 Sub-Area:Crosshatch
 Customer Impact:High
 Enhancement:No
 Summary:
Area Hatch/Fill of section view does not display when 'Material crosshatch' property is enabled & crosshatch of part's custom material is set to solid (= uni)
 Technical   comments:
The workaround is to de-select the "Material crosshatch" property in the Area Hatch/Fill PropertyManager.
