DraftSight / AutoCAD font problem

Hello

When opening files created with AutoCAD (version 2004) with DraftSight, the fonts (or font spacing) do not match!

I made 2 screenshots so you can see the difference and I also attach the DWG file.

Anyone have an explanation and/or a solution?

Is it possible to put several attachments per message? I couldn't find it, so here is the 1st screenshot.

Sorry for the SPAM, here is the 2nd screenshot.

It's clear that the transfer is not optimal

I just saw eDrawings Pro

in options/import

- DXF/DWG import

-Shapes and fonts folders

Let's see if this is not where we should look

These are not files created with SolidWorks but with AutoCAD.

So there is no conversion!

It's more of a problem with the styling used in AutoCAD and DraftSight!

I don't have AutoCAD on my station currently. These are old files created with AutoCAD.

I found on the other hand, that the "Width Factor" (bottom right in the "Edit a single note" pop-up) was greater than 1, and when I set it to 1, it is displayed normally.

But for each note, the width factor is different: 1.2259 or 1.2679 or 1.1984, etc... probably a bug.

But it's a bit tedious to change this factor for each note of the drawing!

Anyone have a solution to change this "width factor" en masse? At least on all the notes of the drawing on the screen?

Thank you.

if you look at the last links of the previous post

Some compatibility differs depending on the version of Autocrad

maybe you get autocrad and do a  recording/export on it with the right options

Currently many people use True Types fonts. The big problem is that these fonts are constantly moving over time. When importing/exporting (such as switching from one software to another or worse from windows to Ubuntu for example) fonts are a problem. The quickest way is to perform a selection in capture mode of all the texts (and the rest with it) by clicking on the area from right to left, go to the property window, and do the following:

1) In the first row at the top of the window, you should have "All", go to the drop-down list and select "NotesSimple". For your information, in parenthesis you have the quantity of elements found of this type.

2) In properties, play between font and spacing (formerly compression factor).

3) Don't forget to validate.
