Problem creating a thickness on a part

Hello

New to the site, I quickly go by to see if I can answer...

I have a solution but I'm on SW 2015 so I'm going to make a second message with the explanation of my solution and the same file in parasolid...

To see if it suits you?

Here is with 7 mm thickness

the SW 2012 attachment

So my solution is to do the surface (yes I know, solid and the surface...)

1 - Copy the face you want to offset (surface/offset function with 0 offset)

2 - Copy this surface a second time...

3 - restrict these two surfaces with your top plane (we keep the upper part, then the lower part) surface/restrict function

4 - Offset these surfaces by 7 mm indoors

5 - restrict the two surfaces together (it makes a single surface)

6 – Extend the ends of this surface and use it to split your starting body...

I'm going fast but stop me if you didn't understand me...

Is it right for you?

Thank you Mick Cordero,

The solution to my problem is all found!

Good luck,

Aurélie.

Phew, there was a quick answer on this question. Not even time to eat that it's already solved:)

For the slim function, that's what I was saying. This must be done when the position is created, otherwise it is no longer possible.
