Photoview rendering quality problem

Hi all
I have to render with photoview but it turns out that the quality is clearly not optimal.
I put "maximum quality" as a parameter, tested all formats... nothing helps.
There are similar renderings normally made with photoview by former people of the company (more than 5 years ago) and the quality seems better.
Anyone would have an idea of the parameters or the means used please.
Thank you in advance.

Hello;

The quality of your Photoview rendering depends on so many different criteria...

  • Your graphics card.
  • The RAM capacity of your PC.
  • The Solidworks Version (and therefore Photoview)
  • the quality of your design.
  • Applied appearances (materials/colors...)
  • The general and specific settings of Solidworks and photoview...

You did not specify the Version (year) of your Solidworks license...

If you have a 2018 version, go to the "Visualize" tool instead (or download it from the Solidworks website.
If you are using Solidworks 2020 or newer, you can install Visualize from the Solidworks installer (control panel + edit/repair install).

This (semi-independent) software is much easier to approach than photoview, even if it seems more limited at first...

Kind regards.

Visualize is paid independently of the Solidworks license and with limitations in this case.
In addition, Visualize has only been working since the 2018 or 2019 version, it seems to me.
There are several versions of Photoview, including a simplified MODO 9.01 that is of very good quality, but not as easy to use as Visualize.

Not quite agree (or didn't understand the message...) If @mariusxdiabx has Photoview on its version of Solidworks, I conclude that it has at least a Premium version.

In this case, he can ask for a Visualize license number free of charge from his reseller (or on the Solidworks website directly) to benefit from the " Light " version of Visualize.

Installation - 2020 - SOLIDWORKS Visualize Help

It seems to me that since the 2022 version, the Visualize license (still light) is directly associated with the Solidworks license.

Installation - 2022 - SOLIDWORKS Visualize Help

Kind regards.

Hello, thank you for your help!
First of all, I have the 2022 version.
So between 2 different pcs for the same SW settings can we have a big difference in quality?
Do you know the general settings for optimal quality?
Thank you

I'm going to talk to my collaborators about it, the main thing being that we don't want to pay for it (it's not worth it) but if Visualize is free and allows a better quality then it's great.
Kind regards

Thank you very much, if it's really free and allows for higher quality then that's perfect.

Hello
Which version of Solidworks do you have? with a professional version, VISUALIZE is included in the package if I understand correctly what is written on the SOLIDWORKS website (https://www.solidworks.com/product/solidworks-3d-cad)

FYI, after testing, VISUALIZE is much faster than PV360.
1min30 against 50min for our uses!
plus, it doesn't paralyze SOLIDWORKS during rendering. And even if it were the CA, we wouldn't really realize it given the time needed.

Hello
it is important to adjust the DPI (pixels per inch) if you have a large image and few pixels necessarily your image quality is ugly.
May the force be with you

the only limitation of PhotoView 360 is the maximum resolution set at 11580 X 11580 which corresponds to an image of

•49.02cm squared in 600dpi
•98.04 cm at 300dpi
•147.07 in 200dpi
