Relationship problem

Hello

I have been encountering a problem since this morning.

I may be awake badly, but it seems to me that I didn't draw like this before.

Let me explain: I'm drawing a simple bent sheet metal. When I want to modify the sketch of a fold to dimension or redraw it, I have a problem with the relationships.

When you look at the attached image, you can see that the lines that are supposed to be horizontal or vertical are no longer horizontal... (Here, I'm in right-hand view).

It seems to me that the relationships are not in relation to the existing sketch but in relation to the plan, right?

I can always find a countermeasure with construction strokes, but it's not normal is it?

Hello Bart.

Indeed, it's in relation to the plane on which your sketch is made. But I also have the impression that your plan is made that way.

If you look at your origin point, you'll see that there are 2 of them. One blue and one red. And there seems to be an angulation between the two

Hi @ Bart

Question Why don't you do your sheet metal elevation in top view?

Hi Bart

Personally, I've always had this because your first fold is not 90° to your base and your sketch plan is perpendicular to your reference face for your acutel folds.

What I do if I want to have my line parallel to my plan on  it here in orange, I put a parallelism or a collinearity relationship with the stop I need. it saves you a construction line.

I haven't changed the way I work.

Since I have a support to do, I draw my profile in side view. Then I add my ears to the sides.

It seemed to me that the relationship never changed. Horizontal remains horizontal and vertical the same.

In the world, a horizontal line is always horizontal...^^ I understand myself..

When I set "normal to" by clicking on my sketch I find myself with the new relationships

The vertical on an edge bend is defined as perpendicular to the selected edge.

and therefore the horizontal as parallel to this selected edge.
