Problem rendered faces

Hello
I'm facing a problem of ' triangulation ' in Visualize.
Indeed, after importing my model, I want to colorize some faces differently.
So I used the ' Split ' tool to end up with this (I purposely put a flashy appearance so that you can see well).

I end up with faces that don't look the way I want.
From a distance it's fine, but from a detailed point of view it's awful.
The first solution I found was to split all the facets and then make them look the right way afterwards... a headache!
Do you have a solution to that?
Thanks in advance!

Hello;

The " least " complicated would perhaps be to create a new Extrusion (Disjoint) of the cut surface directly in Solidworks with an application of a new appearance so that Visualize can tell the difference between the two components?

Hello
thank you for the answer :wink:,

So extrude this face to a very thin thickness I guess?

That's right:
A 0.1mm extrusion should not distort the desired visual too much.
The important thing is NOT to merge this extrusion with the main body of your profile, in this way, Visualize, will allow you to separately select the body of the profile and its cross-section, all that remains is to assign different textures to them.

To go further and force Visualize to distinguish the bodies, apply different materials to the (main) material of the profile (Alu?) and the body of the extruded section of the cut (Pink Appearance... for example).
