Solidworks problem: second solid

Hi all.

I only had a little training on solidworks while being in sti2d, but what I'm looking to do today is out of my skills.

I created a kind of knuckle ring to attach it to a camera. So far, so good (see screenshot) but I'd like to add a second rectangular solid, which is glued to the outer edge of my ring. I must have been struggling for about 1 hour, I can't do it, could a charitable soul help me?

Thank you very much!

Hello

To make it as simple as possible; You select your top face, then you create a sketch there and convert the entities, then you use the offset function and you manually close the two ends of the sketch. Then to finish you do your extrusion..

Hello

You can remove half of your part and create a body symmetry, but you must use a median plane with one tooth and passing through the center of the part (axis), you will just have to select Merge bodies in the symmetry function (see if joint).

Kind regards

The method of ac cobra 427 is a good solution.
