Problem on mep cut: SW closure

your tank was probably made via a symmetry

and you have to ask him to cut right on  this plane of symmetry

so he sends you out to pasture

offset by a few tenths of your cutting axis and it should work

if I am not mistaken

yes Benoit and Gt22 the problem must come from the fact that they are two half vats assembled and that I cut right on the assembly plan, so SW must not like it.

I shifted it and indeed it works, but hey it's not totally satisfactory.

Thank you all

If we change the 3D to solved, is there still the problem?

Symmetry, I don't really see why it would bother (I respect the idea@gt22 ;) it's just a question).

Check the imported components anyway (import diagnostic).

For the delay, I was talking about getting around the problem, not solving it:)

But sometimes, you have to be content with it!

@ paulin

Satisfactory or not you don't have much choice

and a few tenths or hundredths of a second will not jeopardize your tank or your door

I think that in terms of tolerances you are not at the hundredth of a second on this type of production

or you have a golden fab workshop and it must cost a lot for this type of fab ;-)

There are a lot of requests for improvements on the SolidWorks site, regarding cuts that cause SolidWorks to crash. It happens when files are corrupted, there is no solution...

Example (connect to the SolidWorks site first):

you're right gt22, but hey it's always a little better when it's perfect... well it won't keep me awake....

It's cool the cut works (with the offset), but now on the created cut, I want to make a detail view, and well even punishment it takes me out...

Import diagnostics on imported parts??? :)
