Sheet metal $Epaisseur property

You know why when I get the $Epaisseur property     of sheet metal in    a concatenantion (or other), it marks me 6mm in "Valued value".

But you can't use it for any other property or in a table...

When I click on the Concatenation0 property, the value 6mm is retrieved, but as soon as I click on another property, it changes to <Not specified>

Could you make a print-screen?

The other values may simply be considered in text and not in number.

Is the thickness property in global variable?

For your information, the $Epaisseur value of sheet metal is visible in the properties of the welded bodies and necessarily only when the body has been made into sheet metal or transformed into sheet metal.

Attached, before/after.

(There, I made a concatenation for a description. But even if I just do $Epaisseur sheet metal, it doesn't work... It loses the info as soon as I click on it

@Benoit: even if text, I can't even recover with the "String" tool...

Hello

They talk about it here:

https://forum.solidworks.com/thread/48815

You have to delete the equation and then re-edit the function that determines the equation to retype the value of the thickness, then validate.

Does it work after this manipulation?

I have already done this type of concatenation on sheet metal parts and or welded construction (under SolidWorks 2012).

I created a property that concatered flank length / flank width and thickness.

When creating the properties I didn't encounter any memory problems.

But I deleted it because when I made a change the values didn't necessarily follow. (pbs random)

I had opened a call to the Axemble Hotline and here is the answer:

"For the problem of value, evaluate
This is a known problem, it is referenced under the number:
SPR 566298   SolidWorks      dial-in number 1-5715630997"

@flegendre your SPR is talking about a list of welded parts for a part made by symmetry, I'm not sure it's the same problem!

"Bounding box items are evaluated to 0 for a mirrored sheet metal body in Cut-List Properties."

Oup................................ (there is at least one that follows!!!!!)

It must be this one:

For the Welded Parts List Property  Issue
This is a known problem, it is referenced under the number:
SPR 690376   SolidWorks dial-in number: 1-5713414273

Can you tell me more about it please. I didn't understand everything... oops

@flegendre caramba, failed again!

"Multi-body sheet metal cut list properties are not evaluated (transferred) to mirrored part"

It's always for symmetry!

@thewarner:

  1. Delete your equation
  2. Edit the function where you have your thickness
  3. You should be able to use your equation with your thickness now.

OK

Resolute. SP3.0 => SP5.0 (solidworks bug...)
