Updated Custom Properties

Hello everyone,

I just changed the custom properties form of our parts to add some information... to the SAR.

My question is the following and the answer is probably simple: How do I apply these changes to the old parts that I will upgrade?

Thank you :slight_smile:

Hello
I've already had the opportunity to do this type of manipulation...
The only solution we found at the time (yes, it's a bit old...) was to fill in the new values each time the old coins were opened.
It may not be the fastest solution, but as it happens, it is done well.

On the other hand, if the added variables always have the same values (e.g. company name for MEPs), then why not turn to BatchProperties?

Good luck...

Hi @erik.a :metal::skull::metal:

Batch converter is what you need I think.
I tested it and it works well.

For the document properties, I'm testing Copy Options.
It seems to work well for mass processing too.

I hope it will answer your request

Thank you @a.eriaud and @MLG for your answers.

Indeed, while continuing to search, I realized that I had to reload the personal properties form for the news to be available.

No, it's not always the same value, but by doing it in batches, it could actually do the job.

I'll look at this right away :wink:

Thank you

Hello;
For the processing of several properties, on several documents, I recommend the use of the " Integration " utility of the Visiativ suite (mycadTools).

And the use of Smartpropeties (Mycadtools too) is much more " malleable " and " permissive " than the Solidworks ownership form.

" If you're going to pay a small fortune for MyCad tools, you might as well go for it "...

Kind regards.
