What would be the solution to solve this problem of opening file step from INVENTOR 2019 to Solidworks 2017. "Index Registration Error" Message

The file may be too large 20MB

Whether in step 208 or 214 the message is the same "Index Registration Error".

I also tried in IGES format. Message that SolidWorks has stopped  working.

If you have already encountered these problems and if you have a solution I would be interested.

Thank you in the meantime for your contributions.

Hello

To see if the filenames, folders don't have  too many characters.

may the force be with you.

Thanks for the information! It's true that I do this on the network which increases the routing of conversions a little. I'm going to change the location of the files to be converted.

Have a good end of the day.

20MB should pass, it will take time. Local treatment can only be better.
You should try parasolid which is the "natural" format of Inventor and SW.
See in the original model, if there are not too many open surfaces.

If not, we may have to convert the different subsets (hopefully there are some).

Thank you  Obi wan and Stefbeno. For your support. The file was indeed a ready-to-take from Inventor to limit errors. But obviously too large with parts with rather complex geometries. I ended up converting the sub-assemblies and reassembling them in SolidWorks. A little more complicated but there you go. We have arrived at the result. Thank you again.
