Hello
Why doesn't " Contact " work in motion study?
I choose the 2 components to put in contact, but nothing happens when I start the calculation.
What am I doing wrong?
Thank you

Hello;
It sometimes (often) happens that the solver does not launch if you are working from a remote server (even if in general you get a nice crash message after 20 minutes of big ..." empty ").
Try saving your assembly and its components directly to your PC's local disk (c:) and running the scan after preading all temporary files (Solidworks RX).
I forgot, the solver doesn't really like external references or virtual components and repetitions either...
Kind regards.
Hello @Maclane
I do have a repetition. I'll try again with duplicate components. Thank you.
Finally, the repetition is not about the components to be put in contact but hey.
By the way, is there a way to choose the number of occurrences you want to duplicate? I mean other than copying the quantity in place (copy 1 paste 1, copy 2 paste 2, copy 4 paste 4, copy 8 paste 8, copy 16 paste 16, etc).
Or to make rehearsals independent? To convert occurrences of repetition into components in their own right? Edit: Found how; right-click on the repeat function, and " decompose repeat ".
