I think I've already told you about it, your "client" must have an EPDM license to have access to your safe.
To be confirmed, it must be a WEB license to be able to access your safe from the outside.

Yes, you absolutely need a license to connect to EPDM. They can be of several types:
- CAD Editor
- Contributor
- Viewer
When you talk about PDM Pro-e, it's not EPDM, it's another product?!
When you talk about a "client", is it a colleague, or an outside person?

When I talk about PRO-e it's indeed another product, but at the PDM level of this software there is no need for a license
Please note that there are 3 different types of licenses:
- CadEditor: Laminatedto SolidWorks
- Contributor: for those who want to enrich EPDM but without SolidWorks
- Viewer (pack of 5 licenses): just visualization

I contacted the support and you do need a license, so basically EPDM is useless and the salesman was not professional to offer us this
From memory: 2450€ for a pack of 5 Viewers licenses
What seems strange to me is that your reseller offers you EPDM without support.....

When I bought Solidworks and EPDM, I wasn't there, because it was my manager who did it.
After that, you can call it a good salesperson and I agree with you, I didn't need EPDM. In addition, the support was not offered to me, because I installed it locally so no support because it is not really official and it has a cost to have support for the installation of EPDM

Yes, the support has a cost, but so does the EPDM license!! (I don't blame you, I sympathize).
In general, we come to an SGDT (as is EPDM) when you can no longer have some control over your data (errors, no history,...). EPDM obviously allows other functionalities, but this is the main argument: regulating the data.
But if you're all alone, or even 2 or 3, it's heavier than it brings advantages. Especially since with 2 or 3 of us manage to agree on how to proceed, whereas from 10 or 15, it quickly becomes anarchy, hence the usefulness of the EPDM.

After a long delay, I am coming back to you to give you news. So, first of all, I had to reinstall EPDM because I received the dvds of SolidWorks, EPDM and SQL, after 3 months (hats off to the salesman). The problem is that obviously everything didn't go as the first time, so formatting the PC... But I managed to reinstall everything and it works again (phew)
I will now be able to thanks to the comment of @Benoit.LF and @flegendre be able to configure the whole thing. I thank them very much for their help
If time allows and I hope so, I would write a tutorial for installing EPDM locally with the resolution of the errors I had.
So I'm closing this topic which drifted a little at the end. I'll write other questions about my EPDM needs in order to get points for everyone.
For information, EPDM is not really necessary when you are alone working in CAD and especially you have to take into account that if another person wants to connect to the database you need another SolidWorks license even if the person comes to work 1 day from time to time (to be taken into account because not all EPDM vendors have this same policy (see ProEngineer))
