Hello
Do you want to do the threading completely?
If yes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QdFNOLJHtpU
If not, a plain text annotation is enough!
If it's on SolidWorks, you can drill in Ø15mm, then insert a thread representation (Insertion/Annotation/Thread Representation) in Ø16.
Indeed, I meant an annotation on a thread representation!
As Benoit.LF says, you do a Ø15mm drilling, but I'll change the Ø15mm by M16x1 in the drawing
@Mathieu ANGER
But suddenly you don't have the representation of the thread (3/4 of a circle).
:)
Additional info, I remind you, I want a real thread representation.
Lucas P, thank you but your video is for threads..........
Hello
A real (visual) representation can only be done manually.
A spiral, a sketch and a removal of material should be more than enough.
But to my knowledge, there is no ready-made solution.
Good luck
If you want to see the net, follow these steps:
Or make a macro of your first tapping.
This allows you to reproduce your M16x1 as many times as you want afterwards.
Hi you make a hole Ø14 then a helical at the thread pitch (1mm) by taking the sketch of the hole, then you make a sketch in the shape of the tool and to finish you sweep it on the helicoid.

Look at this example (SW13), you have to be a little clever: the profile of the net, put it with a height of 0.99 high and not 1mm.
Hello
for all the threads - taps, a relative of mine has created a fairly simple and functional library, it is not difficult to download and, despite what is written, works very well under SW2014. If you plan to thread often enough, it will be very useful.
Here is the link to the online help so that you can see what it is about:
http://bib.altitech.free.fr/aide_altitech/aide_altitech.htm
Here is the general link to the site which offers other libraries of profiles, components to be welded, very functional and very easy to use library functions:

EDIT: if you don't plan to use the library, there is also, in the online help, the explanation of how to perform all the functions.
A VERY QUICK example as an attached file.
It's only the technique, I put on bogus ribs.
EDIT: Sorry for the double (triple) post, I created the piece while you were posting and I didn't see your posts.
to make an M16/1 tapping (which is not recommended)
in iso it's M16/1.5 in normative not fine
see this link http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Filetage_m%C3%A9trique
make a cylinder of the desired diameter
Make a spiral helix sketch not 1 mm
Sketch the triangle of the net
place the triangle on this spiral sketch with the desired coincidence
Scan
you end up with your screw in M 16/1
then you do a boolean operation to raise the unwanted elements
Back to work
see an example attached in SW 2012

Otherwise, to save time later, you can create your thread base. Every time you want a filter, you create it in volume, then you insert it in the rooms where you need it and you do a subtraction function!
