Making a square between two faces

Hello

I have made a set on which I want to add a support, but I don't know how to do it at all. In order for you to understand better, I am posting a photo with, in red,  what I want to add. You will find the photo attached.

Could you tell me how I can create this on my piece?

Thanks in advance

Hello.

The easiest way is to create a sketch on the side of the part and make a straight line on the 2 end points. Then make a thin extrusion to the opposite surface.

Attached is your diagram with explanations.

Regards.

With the image it's better...

Hello @becb.alençon

I do not want to upset you, but for me what you are  proposing does not give the expected result.

I grant you that the drawing  @ceyhan.gvn is not incredibly clear either: especially since one wonders why this complicates life to make just two unfortunate gussets.
Unless it's a sheet metal with three plies???

What is not clear in @ceyhan.gvn 's drawing is the red line that connects the two gussets , the top of the vertical plate, nor what looks like a flat iron or sheet metal on the bottom horizontal plate.

@ceyhan.gvn

1°) Could you make a slight effort to specify what the red line on the top of the vertical plate corresponds to.
2°)  can you specify "" set on which I want to add a support, "" because you already have a horizontal plate that supports the filter and it's not its weight that will make it bend.
3°) what is the nature of the support you want to create (gusset, flat iron, sheet metal, shaped, etc, etc, ...

Kind regards

I would have seen more of a sheet metal cut into a triangle and welded on each side to reinforce, it's going to be hot to cut indeed as said Zozo_mp

But if you're willing to make a sheet metal or flat with the edges machined at the corner, @becb.alençon 's answer looks good.

Hello and thank you for your answers.

I apologize if I have not been very clear.

In fact, the whole thing will be made of Plastic (PPH), and the different elements will be welded (glued). The goal is to add a PPH plate to form a kind of square and to prevent the weight of the filter from breaking the support.

So in practice we will glue a plate between the two opposite edges to hold the whole thing together.

Could I have been more precise?

There is the "gusset" function in the "module" welded construction which would be fine.

From a design standpoint, with glued construction, I'd rather put the gussets underneath.

Thank you for all your answers, I finally made gussets but putting them underneath as stefbeno proposed.

Thank you all for your help.
