Directly attached to the technical and production department, you will be required to carry out within our company:

- Determine the client's need and its feasibility

- Development of feasibility studies

- Know how to determine and calculate the functional, physical, dimensional, structural or geometric constraints of parts

- Realization of general plans and details in accordance with design rules

- Know how to build and produce systems, assemblies, sub-assemblies corresponding to the needs of the projects using SolidWorks 

- Represent and size mechanical parts, objects or assemblies

- Draws assemblies and subassemblies using the associated BOM

A minimum of 2 years  ' experience in sheet metal part design is required.

Mastery of SolidWorks Sheet metal work essential!

Let's look for a sheep with five legs but with a spare fourth leg!

I notice that this ad, like unfortunately many others, would be aimed at someone with more than five years of experience (rather 10 years minimum).

In reality, there are two positions (even three positions), one that is more of a technical sales or pre-sales technician profile and the other that will be both a designer and a draftsman. In other words, one with one part nomadic and the other sedentary.

Obviously when you see the time it takes to do pre-sales, then to design the s/s together with the back and forth with the customers (who all know what they want at the first time and obviously all live in the same city which allows you to deal with it in a very short time). Once validation has been acquired, all the final plans must be carried out, plus the management of the bills of materials, the doc, etc...

And the icing on the cake of the announcement I read this under the name

Everyone knows that someone who wants to find an interesting job will say that he is not motivated, not serious and that he knows nothing about sheet metal work and that in addition he does not want to work more than 35 hours a week and moreover that he knows only a software similar to SolidWorks namely sketch-up.

Obviously no idea of the city where the company is located , as @ACcobra 427 instantly points out, because everyone is rushing to work in trous-bled, an hour from the first important city. No idea of the level of salary or at least of qualification. Two years of sheet metal work doesn't mean much, especially when I see the very high level of participants in this forum in sheet metal work, I tell myself that it is better to remain modest even with more than 20 years of experience).

We also don't know if the company only does "one shot" or if there is also recurring production that justifies in this case a more elaborate document management and a more economical design.

To finish pushing the cloud, the company presents itself as a laser manufacturer but says nothing about the other equipment it has such as bending machines, rolling machines, welders, etc ... because selling only flat sheet metal would show that the company's VA is minimal, which is certainly not the case.

In short, you will have understood that you are fed up with his announcements or what is promised, it is surely a low salary, but with a burn-out guaranteed within two years, because according to the old adage "he who kisses too much badly embraces" and the modern version of this adage "he who kisses too much misses the train and even all the trains".

I am following up on your message, where we try to understand the point of such a sarcastic tone.

I notice in your message, as unfortunately many candidates do, that it is obvious that the ad has not been read in its entirety or even that you are trying to get more information where we would have been happy to respond! This would also prove a profit-sharing in the company.

 

In reality, it is indeed a single position, because as indicated in the presentation of our company, it is very young and you will therefore understand that we are with a SMALL workforce and that in order to make a company grow and prosper, it is necessary to go in a logical rhythm of hiring, which may explain the many tasks given in this position, but which can be explained by the fact that they are already carried out by a person who, thanks to the prosperity of our society, can no longer take care of them. We listen to our teams, that's why we recruit!

In addition, if you are able to design and develop a study without going through the client directly, you have understood everything and are potentially telepathic.

If, like several people who have already done so, like @ac cobra 427 whom you also name, you would have asked with a little politeness and sympathy, we would have been happy to answer your questions!

Regarding the salary, we assume that each profile has its added value and is not a fixed amount! We prefer to meet with the person, discuss these salary expectations to respond transparently and directly with them.

Two years of sheet metal work is required because quite simply, as I can remind you, if you had taken the trouble to make us the requests, we would have replied to you as said above that being a small structure in full expansion, we are open and interested in profiles that are not experts but beginners in this module but having a minimum of knowledge because we are ready to invest time and training for that person! Two years are more than enough time for what we want to do initially and in the future of this position!
