Component reference in SmartBom

Hello

I come to ask for your help because I would like to generate a bill of materials with SmartBom by displaying the " Component reference" property (see screenshot attached).

If anyone ever has an idea, I'm all for it.
Thank you in advance.

Nicholas

In SmartBom, you add a column.
And you select:

  • Solidworks properties
  • Component Reference

Hello @opiep27 ,

I did this but it doesn't tell me anything:
Capture 1

Hello;

Have you tried with the mode:
"Automatically extract all properties" from SmartBom?
Note: The "Component Reference" column recovery proposed by @opiep27 doesn't give me anything either... but I don't have time to test my own proposal...

Kind regards.

@Maclane
Yes, the " Automatically extract all properties " box is checked but I don't have the information that comes up
Capture 2

Weird, what version? I'm still in SW2020.
It works on an assembly test with 2 parts.

No, all custom properties are blank on the 2 test parts, as well as the assembly.

ah yes exact it works but to get the information that goes back you have to be in component mode selected " Assembly " and not " Assembly file"

and there we have the info in the " new " column which is linked to the " component reference"

Thank you
