Replace the basemap in bulk across multiple files in ePDM

Hello

Following an update of the cartouche of my basemaps , I would like to replace the basemap on all the maps in my safe.

Is it possible to automate this via a macro that would allow you to extract, update the basemap, and archive the file with a comment?

Additional difficulty: the A4 basemap must be updated with the A4_v2, the A3 with A3_v2, etc...

Hello

By a macro, it's going to be difficult, not impossible but difficult.

But with the MyCadTools Integration tool, this is possible.
It will have to be done in several stages but it is possible.
For each type of format.

With a little patience and method.

Hello

It seems to me that a myCADtools can do it, INTEGRATION
In operations, you should have the option to replace a basemap according to its format

On the other hand, with PDM, mystery...
I guess your plans need to be extracted in order to be able to make the modification via INTEGRATION...

Otherwise, I don't see anything on the side of myPDMtools,
If ever, I'm interested in the information

Re

Yes, yes, I forgot to specify it, but pay attention to the life cycle of your PDM.
It may be necessary to 'extract' and or modify the index of the files.
Request the change/update of the basemap.
Archive documents.

Warning, a mistake and easy

Thank you for your answers. Indeed, I think it will be complicated and risky to do it en masse on all the plans already archived and in locked states. I was initially thinking of using VB scripts, but it is far beyond my skills :).

My problem is that I want to be sure that the basemap is updated at least when a plan is modified (i.e. in an unlocked state). I'll see if I can run a VB script during a transition.

Hello

I think there was already a post about it a few months ago but I can't find it.

To get around the problem of file extraction rights you can use "Integration" by not being connected as Admin on the EPDM vault, (yes I know it's not good).

Having already done this type of background updates, I noticed that sometimes some documents were not processed by "Integration" for no apparent reason.
