Replace a broken line with a solid line (Came)

Hello

I'm just passing through

I don't remember how to turn a broken line into a continuous line so that I can have one object guided over another. Indeed, if you have a succession of lines and curves, it is impossible to do as for a cam path
In the meantime I created a spline but it's ugly and difficult to make the spline follow by snapping it on the broken lines.

Thank you Apluche

Hello,

Composite curve (in inserting > curve).

Hi @Zozo_mp ,
Why do you say it's ugly?
If you create your spline by choosing each vertex of your broken lines as a point, you will have a nice curve

Hello Zozo_mp,
On my side I found this =>
Spline
Hoping I understood your search.

It's nice but difficult to control the trajectory. It's up to you @Zozo_mp

Hello;
And if you create a new sketch by converting all the broken lines:

in theory of the should be able to generate a trajectory from it. (even if it means making a 3D sketch).

And if you... You were going to drink a little foam to digest all this  unless you were in the tropics :cocktail:

Thank you AR

Very good answer I adopt.

In addition, I don't remember how to make a cam path. Because if you do anything other than a groove, the contact stops at the end of the first straight.
If we use a continuous curve, even with zigzags, the contact remains, hence the idea of the spline

There is a function that I forgot which allows you to transform a zigzag line into a single line but continuous but poof I forgot (that's who will remind me).

Be well friends  In the south of France there is no good and in Qatar it can turn into a disaster. As soon as the solieil comes back I send you

Good evening @Zozo_mp ,

Perhaps the Tools > Spline Tools > Fit Spline function, which approximates a set of sketch entities by a spline.
Rather effective, with a criterion of proximity (tolerance)...

I think it's composite curve you're looking for @zozo see this message:

Otherwise make a closed part with the cam path and hide it and exclude it from the nomenclature. It works great too!

Hi @sbadenis you have a trick to make the cam path in one piece

Thank you

I love that Thank you
