Making a Machine Housing Transparent in a Drawing

Hello

Everything is said in the question, how to simply do in a drawing to make a machine housing transparent?

Thank you in advance for your answers.

Well seen this thread, but the piece completely disappears from the drawing, and that's not what I want.

I just want to see the parts behind my crankcase in the drawing.

A+

Why not make a configuration where the appearance of the crankcase would be transparent?

Hello

Why not make a burst view, you just shift the catrer to see inside...

I'm looking for an answer without configuration directly in the drawing

So you have to right-click on the part in the MEP then show/hide  and hide component but it will get stuck and won't become transparent...

Hello

if you hide the component from your view you will have a hard time making it reappear without going through a Ctrl +Z and delete your work done after having done it, on the other hand if you hide the component from your tree you will be able to master the show / hide.

Hello

You can do a local cut.

may the force be with you.

Then to show it again, you will have to click on the view, then go to the featuremanager creation abber then make a right clc on the component and go to mount/hide and show the component. it's not more complicated...

AC Cobra 427 when it wants to work well, I have a colleague who had some problems with it.

Thank you for your answers but a priori no simple solutions to make a room transparent and not hide it.

Maybe making a neighboring room can be suitable?

Use the View in Another Position command, which also allows you to show different positions in an assembly.

See my tutorial on the subject:

On the other hand, the fact of hiding from the tree structure also applies to the tree of your room. And the fact of hiding directly from the view doesn't apply to the one in the room (?). In reality, it would be better to create configurations to show/hide each component.

Hello

A simple answer: it is not possible at all.

Then you can, as my colleagues say, make a configuration or a local section, on a plan you always manage to do otherwise to show what you want.

There is also this trick: click on the view in the tree, choose the components to show, and do "show hidden edges", but depending on the geometries or point of view, it can be a mess.

But sometimes it works.

There is also a new display state in the ASM 3D where everything is in wired hidden edge, except the shaded housing with transparency enabled.

In the view, you just have to choose this display state, and put the view in shaded mode.

Thank you for all your answers, which allow you to get around the problem, but hey, no simple solution for my example... Too bad.

A+ on the forum, and happy new year to all.

What is the solution you have adopted in order to continue the problem???
