Rendering

Hello
Is it possible when rendering an assembly with Realview (not with Photoview or Visualize) to obtain a rendering with the reflection of a component on other components. In the case that interests me I have a polished stainless steel type spring and I want to see on this spring the reflection of its cylindrical guide which is orange. For the moment I only have the reflection due to the environment. If so, what setting should be specified to the respective appearances and which light should be put. I have the impression that I have gone through these parameters without success.

Thank you all

Hello Pierre_Maihailovic,

I think that with standard Solidworks for shadows it is possible (SW2022SP4), but the reflection of the part is not sure. For the moment I can't use my PC, it's being processed...

Hello;

Realview does not manage the Reflections of one component over another, the only possibility is to activate the "Ambient Occlusion" mode in addition to the RealView but this is only a projection of the "shadow" (to summarize) of the environment.
If your question comes from the fact that you don't have Photoview or Visualize-pro,
To do this, try exporting your components to other rendering software such as "Blender" (Free) (even if it will be, let's say... for a first exercise).

Kind regards.

Thank you McLane. That's what I thought, there's no need to try hard.
Indeed I don't have Photoview or Visualize. I was able to test the latter, it's true that it's powerful and rather easy but at the price of butter, to use it only once a year, I gave up.
Good night
