Surface Drill Repeat

Hello

I have a rectangular area of (1400x1000)

I need to drill holes with a triangulation (3 holes on an equilateral triangle on the side 40mm). But I want the result to be centered on the rectangle. How do I do my rehearsal? (Function or sketch)

Isn't there a function to distribute points on a surface?

For your information, that's about 1000 holes.

Thank you

In your place, I'll use the repeat function in an area.

I'll draw the triangular sketch, and insert my holes into it via the function.

Hello

You have to do Insertion/Repeat-Symmetry/Repeat in an area. Ideally, you should place the first hole in the center of the area if your distribution is accurate.

From this function, you can select your drilling function, your rectangular face, the type of distribution, the distance to leave on the edges...

if you make 1000 holes the best is to do it in appearance the files will be less heavy

See this tutorial for rehearsals

The thousand holes are now manageable with the locking bar in the construction shaft. This was indeed not the case before!

yes okay @ Benoit

The locking bar helps but is it really useful to make 1000 holes

I think a simple appearance does the trick as well

It's a choice

Thank you for your answers.

"Repetition in a zone" was the function I was looking for, it's perfect!

(I have to represent my 1000 holes because I have flow rates to calculate...
