Unmerged Repeat of a Library Function

Hello

I have a library function of a crimped nut.
This is not a merged function.
When I repeat this function, its occurrences, and they alone, are.
I tried to disable or enable several options, without success.

Does anyone have an idea or a solution?
Kind regards

Hello

If your library function includes drilling the sheet metal as well as generating the crimped nut, then you need 2 repetitions:

  1. A first function repetition for drilling

  2. a second repeat for the volume body of the crimped nut.

Try it and see if the result meets your expectations.

that's how I work personally

a sketch with the option to segment into points, 1 point at the end and no point at the place where the 1st object was placed

repetition by sketch like this if you modify a point it does it by itself

Hello Silver_Surfer

I had found this solution that can work relatively well during a rehearsal with the help of a sketch. On the other hand, during a network repetition, it requires to put the same values on both repetitions. This is not very practical and a source of error when editing.

@Raimanu
You can use the same sketch for both repetitions, normally?

Hello FRED78,
Yes, it's possible, but in the case of repetition in a network and not by sketch?

Hello Bob_2000,
It is a solution for a rehearsal only by sketching

@ It seems to me that when you use a sketch in a rehearsal, it is reusable by another rehearsal??

In the case of a network repeat, you are talking about a pattern driven by another pattern or function. In this case, use the same function (ex-drilling) to drive your new rehearsal.

If you are performing a single repeat, you can select the values of the first one to drive another repeat.

I may not have understood what you want to do.

With an equation to define the equality between the parameters of the 2 repetitions it can be managed very well. That's how it's done on my side for these Tubtara.

In any case, I can say that your function merge problem comes from the repetitions and the fact of repeating the library function rather than the functions contained in the library function.

There is a request to improve the repeat function to allow repeating one/more function(s) AND one/more bodies via the same repeat function:

I invite you to promote it (click on the thumbs up) because it's exactly what you need to solve your problem.
