Representation of threads in the drawing

I want to make a drawing for an assembly containing screws but the thread does not appear, they appear with a thread similar to the one in the 3D (with the teeth). So I don't know how to fix it. Thank you for helping   me

Your screw must have several configurations, one plain with a thread annotation and another with the machined shape of the thread, right?

Hello

The thread does appear in the MEP but not in the usual symbolic form.

This seems normal  to me!

Because if I understand correctly you have represented screws with a thread in 3D: so the threads of the screw become de facto 3D objects.
The 3D representation is only to be used when you really can't do otherwise, mainly for special drive or fixing screws a little big in diameter but in my opinion not interesting for assembly screws typically the BTR M6.

That said, we have dealt with the same subject on the forum recently, and if someone finds the post, solutions were proposed :-)

Kind regards

Hello Aliende

I think that these screws were made with "Threading tool" which becomes pure 3D, so neither shaded which is only a mapped image,  nor "thread representation" which allows a good representation in the MEP.

What do you think,    ;-)

Given the description of the problem, I think Zozo_mp right.

The solution would be to redo the thread in the 3d without using the "thread tool" function but rather the "thread representation" annotation tool

Or even better: use the drilling wizard to also benefit from the automatic annotation functions (drilling symbol, etc.)

Good evening Stefbeno

These are screws, not taps unless one can use the drilling assist to make threaded shafts.

Regards:-)

Oops! :-))
thank you Zozo_mp
