Thread Drawing Representation

Hello

On a part that I imported into solidworks (it comes from top solid) I have to redo the drawing following modifications. I have a 3/8-16 UNC thread, so I add it to my part by annotating -> Thread Representation. I select the diameter, the plane from which it starts, its size and length. I have the representation that is made on my play.

On the other hand, when I do my drawing. I don't have all the features of the thread that appear (see attached image). I tried to include the thread representation by inserting -> the objects of the model but I don't have the box to select "Thread Representation" (solution seen on the forum).

Do you have an idea?

Thank you.

Hello

Click on your views and try to change the quality of the thread representations (on the left in the feature manager), oddly, it often works better in medium quality.

Mick

I only have two choices for quality, either in draft or in high quality. On the other hand, nothing happens when I change options...

After several tries, I found the solution.

After putting the representation of the thread on my part, I have to reload it so that it updates the drawing... Quite a strange solution, because reloading the drawing alone does nothing...

Ok, that's weird.

On the other hand, don't try to insert the thread representations, you only have the option when you are working on an assembly plane.

On a part plane, thread representations are automatically inserted.

If you develop the view in the shaft, is that the thread representation would not be hidden.

If not, can you attach the part and the plan?

Mick

The thread representation was not hidden in my design tree.

I just had to do a ctrl+q on the part for it to update my drawing...

I can't join the pieces, I'm sorry.
