Find an angle of view from a photo

Hello

I have the impression that on your 3D you have not activated the perspective view:

I think it's this " distortion " that you're missing.

Good luck

Yet it does :s

I'm sure I'm missing a piece of data but I can't understand what grrrrr

Indeed, there is a lack of a depth of field (focal length) but I don't think that the standard Solidworks tools can interact on these parameters...

Well, too bad :frowning:

I'm still going to keep looking a little.

Thank you all

Hello,

I just found this:
https://help.solidworks.com/2023/french/solidworks/sldworks/t_modify_perspective.htm

By default it's set to 3, when you go to 1 it restricts the angle of the vanishing lines and therefore "distorts" the view a little more.

3-way perspective

Perspective at 1

Basically, from what I see, it just feels like a Zoom

Hello
There is a " Spy Freeware" used to redraw a 3D from a perspective image. All you need is a few coordinate systems for at least two of the xyz axes and at least one dimension. It gives (on the right) the parameters of the camera to be created under SW. Some software imports these cameras natively. Under SW you have to translate the parameters and fill them in manually. I didn't have the patience to do it.

But it's accurate enough in SW.
After creating the subwoofer, go to scene editing, put the photo in arr. plan and then new camera. Tinker with the view to align the contours. When you want to come back, you double click on the camera.
