Breaking an External Reference of a Function - sw14

Hello

About SW14:

I would like to break one or more external references for features created in an assembly by choosing them manually.

However, I can't select the external references of a function (e.g. line or ellipse...)  in the "List external references" dialog box.

When you choose the "Break everything" option, all external references of the part are destroyed, not just those of the chosen function.

Thank you for your help.

Hello

You have to edit the sketch in question and then break the sides (by deleting them and re-dimensioning them from the original) and the rest. On the other hand, if you use a plan in the assembly, it will be complicated but it is doable.

Must:
- Edit the sketch and remove/modify the constraints.
- modify the functions (if end conditions for example refer to external surfaces)

Hello

By editing the function, and clicking the "No external  reference" button in the assembly toolbar, it doesn't work?

Otherwise, try here: Tools > Options > System Options > External References and select Do not create external references to the model.

See here:

Edit: otherwise, you can display them by editing the sketch that has a -> symbol in its name, and then with this View/Delete Relationships  button:

Hello again,

If you want to do it properly; You should center the sketch in relation to the original and change the plans if you used them in the assembly. But the part will no longer be constrained and constraints will have to be created to freeze the part.
