Hello
This is the problem.
I have a paper plan (don't laugh, it still exists) in A2 format.
I have an A3 printer/scanner/fax machine
Do you have a trick to scan the document and make it a single scanned file on a single page?
Kind regards

Hello
except by tinkering, or by using the settings of your copier. There is no other solution...
There are software programs that transcribe paper plans in .dxf but for the rest.... Good luck!
Hello
Apart from editing software like Photoshop or Gimp (free), I don't think there is a solution!
To be seen with the scanner instructions, if it exists! What model is it?
Or cut your A2 into 2 equal parts
A2 = 2x A3
you have to reduce the format via your scanner
you do x scan
and that you will link the # scans on your favorite log
@+ ;-)
Or with a good camera, paying attention to the lighting!
If the contrast is good, it can then be transformed into DWG using software of this type:

You take a pair of scissors, some ribbon.
You also need 2 computer screens.
You cut in 2, and you tape the 2 parts to your 2 screens.
and screen print;)
Hello
Have you tried with Acrobat Standard?
There is the Microsoft Image Composite Editor (ICE) utility which is free and easy to use, see this tutorial:
http://www.howtogeek.com/100500/how-to-make-scanning-big-pictures-easy-with-freeware-microsoft-ice/
Or see this tutorial that uses Hugin, a software normally intended for creating panoramas:

Hello
Indeed, the 'DIY' solution can be a way forward. But if you only have one large-format shot to scan, I think you should go for an external solution. I am thinking of companies that do this kind of work. The cost may be high, but you will have a quality and easily exploitable result. The scans can be given in the neutral format (pdf, jpeg, gif ...) but some companies certainly offer vectorizations with conversion to DXF or DWG (2D). To be seen according to your usefulness of your plan. On the web you are bound to find a link. Here is one for example:

+1 for GIMP.
All you have to do is scan the different parts and paste them with GIMP, which is free software.
Thank you!
Good evening
To paste them, you can also use a panorama software after scanning them as an image file, it works well in general!
Good luck
Thank you for your answers,
I didn't want to call on an outside company. By scanning in 2 times in A3 and with Paint.net I managed to do what I wanted.
Kind regards
