Good evening everyone, is there a way to select a chosen part of an autocad plan to the layout (e.g. I have a map of Paris and I want to make a frame to plan around the 2nd arrondissement) and how to give it the size you want (e.g. on an A3 -> 300mmx277mm)
Thanking you in advance, one day I will pay you for a general tour for all the help you have given me:D
What is your level of Autocad practice?
Given your question, I guess the notion of object/paper space is not familiar to you...
In fact, you have to put your complete betting plan (at scale 1) in the object space (it's the equivalent of your 3d SW model prt or asm it doesn't matter), then in the paper space (it's the equivalent of your slddrw file, each paper space tab being a sheet) you have to add the cartridge (via a block, ideally with attribute, it's cleaner), one or more windows (or viewport).
Each of these windows has its own scale.
It's a very crude approach but going further in the explanations would be like doing a complete course on Autocad (see my initial question).
Hello, I'm still only a novice, I've only been using this program for 1 month ...
I understood the principle of object/paper space and pretty much understood how they interact
But your answer (+ a good night's sleep) answered my two questions:D
Thank you so much
Hello
I am not sure what you want to achieve. Is that it? (made from an image)
