Configuration separation

Hello

I understand that with the help of SolidXpert we can now separate the configuration of an assembly into several assemblies.

Let me explain, the xyz assembly would contain the configurations a, b, c.
And then it will become the xyz-a assembly, the xyz-b assembly and the xyz-c assembly....

Is it really possible?? If so, how should we proceed or earlier where to start so as not to make a mess ??
(Note that I will still ask SolidXpert for the details of this operation because if it is really possible all our assembly will have to be done.)

I have Solidwork 2019 SP03, PDM 2019 and SolidXpert 2019.

Thank you for your help!!

Hello

Without SolidXpert; All you have to do is save the assembly as XYZ-A, then XYZ-B and XYZ-C and delete the configurations you no longer need...

I need to keep the assembly in a single file

Well, if you want to keep in an assembly an assembly with 3 configurations, that's what you have... You just need to rename the different configurations to xyz-a, xyz-b and xyz-c because in your question you want to separate the 3 configurations into 3 assemblies

Hello

Here may be the solution!! It's a macro that I use.

May the force be with you

Hello obiwan,

I like this idea a lot, but I still have to learn how to make a macro ... hihihi I'll do some research on it because it would be useful for several actions!!

Thank you!!
