Hello, I would like to carry out a simulation on a test bench. On the latter, there will be an EDM machine in a horizontal or vertical position. I am trying to simulate the deformations that the bench will undergo but I don't know how to place the different forces. This EDM machine weighs 150kg and will be pressed against the walls of the table with magnetic feet. I made available the assembly file with the theoretical positioning of the machine. I remain at your disposal in case of need, your help would be of great use to me. Thank you very much.

Hello
I'm not sure I understand the problem?
In static mode, doesn't the software do it by itself?
The arm of the electro machine must be positioned as far away as possible. The most unfavorable case it seems to me.

What I'm trying to know here is the deformation of the vertical plate because of the weight of the electro machine.
Without the masses of the different fixed and moving elements it seems complicated to me.
I am not an expert in mechanical calculation.
Determine by hand the forces on your magnetic feet.
I will unblock the mass at the centers of gravity and its direction. I will make a change of reference point in the foot area

Is my logic correct ![]()
Thank you very much for your help Fred, I just exchanged with my colleague and he has already done the calculations/simulations. A blessing in disguise I would say haha but thank you very much for your responsiveness and kindness.
